Weddingness

So I apologize for the large amount of wedding topics that are being discussed lately. They are just too fun! My wonderful mother is hard at work and has made lots of preparations for our big day. The latest accomplishment of hers was the candy table we're going to have at our St. Louis reception. If Scott and I aren't enough incentive to go, now you know there will be candy there. I'm so excited for it and I plan on sampling them all despite the amount of people wanting to talk to me. I have Sterling to sneak me some. tehe.

My Flowers

As my upcoming wedding is approaching, I have been informed by my wonderful parents that my flowers have bloomed! Around the temple in St. Louis there are tulips in full bloom just waiting for me to take my picture with them. Don't worry little flowers, I'm just as anxious as you are.

Take 3

My family bridal shower was on Saturday at Grandma's house and it was wonderful! We had all the aunts, grandmas, cousins, sisters and mother-in-law all there! It was nice to talk and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the one and only Dixie Fuller. We had some fun games that involved a lot of wedding lingo and scenarios. My favorite conversation was when everyone chatted about their first impressions of Scott.  In case you didn't know, I'm marrying an AMAZING man who is so good to me and makes my puzzle complete. We also had our brials and groomals taken on Saturday after the shower.  The weather was perfect, the man was perfect, the bridesmaids were perfect, and the photographer was perfect. I am so blessed to have had such wonderful people in my life.

Here's a fun list that we used at a previous bridal shower that I thought I'd share. I answered the questions and Scott answered them as well. It was pretty fun. Here are Scott's answers.


When was the 1st time you met Karalee? Describe what happened.
The first time I met Karalee was at the birthday party for a mutual friend being
hosted at her house. After her and her friends had me and my friends put lipstick
on and kiss a picture of they birthday boy (ya a little weird) we went into the
kitchen where Karalee had us do this thing where you fling whipped cream in the
air and catch it in your mouth.

When did you decide you wanted to ask Karalee out? Why?
Well I’d been hanging out with her and her friends more and more frequently
and one day I was at a motorcycle shop with some friends and we were talking
girls and I brought her up. After some chatting I decided to ask her out,
eventually.

What did you do on your first date? Did it go as planned?
We went to an indoor rock climbing gym. That part went as planned, but when
we went to go get cupcakes afterwards the place was closed. Neither of us felt
like going home yet so we went out in the freezing cold and just watched the
stars.

What is your favorite date/activity that you’ve done together?
She’ll never guess this but probably the time when we went on this crazy hike
to this hidden crag to go climbing. She wasn’t too happy about it but I loved it.
Either that or the time she told me she loved me. (that was on another climbing
hike).

When did you realize you wanted to marry Karalee? When did she realize?
One night after hanging out I came back to my apartment and plopped down on
the couch and my roommate says, “you love her don’t you?” I denied it of course
but it got me thinking.

What is a pet peeve of Karalee? What is one of your pet peeves?
Karalee really dislikes it when people leave stuff out, especially dishes. One of
my pet peeves having people bug me into doing something

What is Karalee’s shoe size?
Umm 8 or 9 I think.

If Karalee was sad, how would you cheer her up?
Bring flowers and snuggle up to her and not let her go.

What is Karalee’s favorite food? Least favorite? Your favorite? Least favorite?
Karalee’s favorite food is ice cream – I’m pretty sure she made it a new food
group. Least favorite, stuff with olives. My favorite, probably corndogs. Least
favorite pickles, sorry Gina, even yours.

What is Karalee’s favorite book or movie? Yours?
Any John Grisham book and favorite move “How to Loose a Guy in Ten Days.”
For me my favorite book is probably Born to Run and movie V for Vindetta
(edited don’t worry).

Me of course.

What do you like to do with an empty Saturday afternoon? What would Karalee
do?
Go mountain biking or something else crazy fun outside. Karalee would prob take

Both Christmas.

When did you first notice Karalee?
My second or third Sunday in her ward.

What do you love most about Karalee? What does she love about you the most?
I really love how much she really cares about other people. She the true
definition of an extravert, thinking of others.
My good looks of course, just kidding. I think she likes my generally positive
attitude.

Basketball

What would be your dream vacation?
A backpacking/mountain biking adventure to some obscure place in Asia to go
rock climbing.

Bridals Sneak Peak!

Quote of the Day

As some of you might know, I have been teaching at  Bonneville Elementary for the past month as part of my practicum experience for BYU. I don't go to my classes for the entire month of March and I teach in a 3rd/4th split class.  It's been a blast, but a lot of hard work. My mentor teacher is AMAZING and is such good example to me, which has helped me become more confident in my own teaching. Everyday I smile at what the kids say or do and I love it! On Fridays we have game day during literacy time and I was playing Apples to Apples with some of the students. One girl was commenting on the number of boys verses girls playing.

Girl: "There are 4 girls and 5 boys playing."
Boy: "No. Miss Fuller is a WOMAN!"

I about died, it was so cute! Plus, I have officially been called a woman. I feel honored that I have finally reached that stage in my life as judged by a 4th grader. :) I'm sure there will be other great quirky moments like this to come in my teaching career.

Also, I signed up for my interview for the internship. Cross your fingers that I make a wonderful first impression and get the job! April 2nd is the big day.

Glee

This past weekend Dad and Sterling came in town for a mini vacation! We were fortunate enough to go skiing with them at Snowbird and stay at a condo up there for a night that looked like a bomb shelter. It was the nicest bomb shelter I've ever been in. But Rachael and I swear that the whole hotel was shaking! At random times we felt like it was rocking, which is a little nerve racking when you're settled on the edge of a cliff. Despite the earthquake phobia we had a great time skiing (and Scott snowboarding) for a day.  The morning was pretty icy in some parts, but after lunch a little snow storm came and we were able to have some fresh powder!! It was heavenly. It obviously got a little cold and I need to invent windshield wipers for goggles. That would have come in handy while we were skiing in the storm.  I also heard my first REAL thunder in Utah for a long time. So cool! Being from the midwest, I'm very used to huge thunderstorms which rock and shake the house and I've missed it a bit the past four years that I've lived in Utah. AND it was my first time hearing thunder during a snow storm. Pretty cool at 11,000 feet and on a ski lift. I only was a little concerned for my safety.  Another added bonus of the mini weekend trip was the authentic taco shop we went to at the opening of the canyon. It was called Lonestar Taqueria. I highly recommend it.  It's even better than Cafe Rio and that's saying something! A good trip or a good party always has good food, in my opinion.  We ended the weekend with a big family dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Heber. I will never forget Grandpa singing happy birthday to himself at the dinner table as everyone else got their cake and ice cream.  Apparently he didn't want everyone to forget it was his birthday. Hands down the best weekend this month! 

Brave Me

On one of our recent date nights we decided to roam center street in downtown provo. It was so nice to be outside in the semi-warmness and stroll down the street all sophisticated like. There are so many fun little shops along center street, a few of which we have explored. The highlight would have to be the little pet store with a million different types of fish in the back.  The only problem is that it smells like well, nasty animals to put it plainly.  I, personally, can't stand it too long. Scott, on the other hand, could spend hours examining the fish collection.  On this particular night I was feeling pretty brave and we decided to go to Indian Palace, which obviously serves Indian food-a new thing for me. As far as restaurant authenticity goes, this one nails the Indian culture as far as I can tell.  From the man in the turbine to the fancy looking bowls that our food came, I was very impressed.  So basically what Indian food is, according to me, is nasty looking colored mush with random chunks of meat (if you're lucky) that is served over rice or eaten with fancy bread dipped in it. It honestly looks disgusting, but it was DELICIOUS! I guess the Jennings will be happy to hear that I like Indian food. I won't be banished. phew! ;)  All in all it was a great night and I'm very glad that Scott convinced me to try Indian food. He was right again.

Oh, and I didn't mention that the people watching was one of the bests yet! There were two couples sitting close to us, both on first dates. It was highly entertaining and one of the couples should get married tomorrow they were so perfect for each other, according to our judgements at least.

Bridal Shower

Last weekend Rachael and Grandma hosted a bridal shower for me and a few of my friends. They did such a great job making delicious food, decorating, and planning the whole party.  We all kinds of food from carmel apples, raspberry punch, cupcakes, little ham sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, asparagus bites, and other great assortments thanks to Pinterest.  Grandma is now an active member. :) We had a fun time talking, enjoying the beautiful Heber sneery, opening presents, and other bridal shower activities.  I'm grateful for the family and friends that love me so much.  I am so blessed in my life to have such amazing people as examples of the true joy of life. I got some really cute presents, especially to decorate our new apartment in a month! Thanks to everyone that came and braved the canyon and lack of directions to come to Grandma's house.
