Teaching 1st grade is crazy, amazing, and awesome all at the same time. They have such active minds and soo soo much energy. The greatest are the pleas for help, in my opinion. "Miss Fuller, how do you spell people?" It's wonderful and so adorable coming from a 7 year-old's mouth. They get a little confused with the whole Miss vs. Mrs thing. I correct them sometimes. Today I got a great comment. "Miss Fuller, when are you going to get married?" Good question kid. I wish I knew the answer. It was so cute the way he asked though, because it was a honest, sincere question like he was concerned for me or something. Melted my heart. Good news everyone, this cute child thinks I'm old enough to get married! But, then again...is that a good thing? Hmm.
