Friends

I'm really grateful for wonderful friends in my life. Sometimes its hard to be away from family so much, but my friends definitely make life that much better. They listen to me about everything (or at least they pretend to) and give me advice on just about anything. Lauren, especially, has been a wonderful roommate and deals with all my imperfections daily and still loves me. I'm definitely the messy one of the two of us. I love spending time with people that make me laugh. (except for when Chelsey makes me silent laugh...horrible) The best memories of my college experience has been when I'm dying laughing. I absolutely love it when Lauren goes to the dentist to get her cavities filled or when Chelsey and I people watch. I love the friends that tell me the truth and give me hugs or notes just because. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends that make college one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Owwie

I officially hate injuries. I am so injury prone, its ridiculous. I rolled my ankle again and yes its the same one I had surgery on almost 6 months ago. I just hurt it in a different way. Now I have to wear my ankle brace ALL the time. I'm pretty sure I'll have to wear an ankle brace for the rest of my life at this rate. Maybe I should just ask for a new ankle for Christmas...if only. Then there's this new injury, also on the left side of my body. The ever wonderful shoulder that I now causes me more stress then just trying to find clothes to fit it. I hurt my bicep tendon or something....I don't know exactly how its hurt, ask Leslie, my wonderful trainer. So lifting things like heavy backpacks, high fives, or swimming hurt. Yay I feel like an old person!!! :( This is me venting starting and stopping here. Thank you ever so handy blog. May my future days be painless.

Pancakes

Recently I forgot how much I absolutely LOVE pancakes. Not just the add water to the batter kind and get a soft, bread like substance...but real pancakes. The kind that when you spread butter or honey on them, it just melts before your eyes and slides down the side. The kind that makes your mouth water before they're even cooked all the way in the pan. The kind that buddies up with syrup with such beautiful composition. So last night I had a pancake craving. Kilee magically had wonderful pancake powder stuff that was sent straight from heaven. A few eggs, oil, and water later....the craving was satisfied along with the rest of the apartment that soon became addicted to the scent. Breakfast should be served anytime of day. Those restaurants that only serve breakfast til 10 are making a big mistake. 9:30 at night is a great time for pancakes and might even be better than 9:30 in the morning. However, I'd like to publicly apologize to Fred (Lauren's friend) who somehow ate a piece of plastic along with his pancake. No idea how that got there.

Still Life

So I was just looking at pictures online....a hobby of mine. I love seeing people's creative side through photography. One of my things on my bucket list is to take pictures worthy of hanging on the walls of my future house. For now I have little options but maybe one day my artsy side will blossom. I love portraits mostly because of the character and personality that can be seen in just one picture. Here's one that I absolutely ADORE!

On a Cloud

Can I just say that college is SO fun! Granted I have a good work load school wise, but the fun on the weekends and even during the week totally makes up for it. It was always a dream of mine to go to BYU, ever since I was born practically. I have no idea what or how my life would be like if it wasn't for the opportunity to go to BYU. I am living my dream. This weekend we had the annual swim camp out up American Fork Canyon, floated the river with some people from my ward, and had a fun game night. Definitely one of the top weekends of my college life. I am so excited for the swim season this year, because I really think that this year will be so much fun with the amazing people on the team. I have amazing roommates and friends and I couldn't ask for anything better. I teach my very own PE class on Thursday at Art City Elementary for my PETE class. Its going to be scary, but exciting at the same time. I'm finally getting some real teaching in! Wish me luck :)

Joy.

I think the best part about this year so far is just the random fun times that magically happen. Last Thursday we had a Relief Society Garden dinner and in the backyard of the house we had the dinner at was this amazing field. You would have never thought that this field was actually super close to a suburban area. So cool so we had to take some pictures even if they were just with our phones. I love times like this.

Puppy Lover

Dear Mom,
I want a puppy. Not just any kind of puppy though...a really cute one. Preferably one that is small and fluffy and loves me. I will take care of him and train him and feed him too many treats. Just look at this cute little face and try to say no. It won't work. I already named him so no stress over that matter. The brown one is Rascal and the black one is Flatts. :)
